So.

Contrary to formal rush events, anime night will still be happening tonight at 7:00. we won't, obviously, be watching 12 kingdoms, but probably a plethera of things. One such thing is called Clone High. It's this friggin awesome cartoon about high school students that are acutally clones of famous and powerful dead people. the main characters are JFK, Cleopatra, Joan of Arc, Ghandi, and of course, Abe Lincoln. Look at it this way, when this was running (it's not anymore) India got pissed at MTV (which aired it) because of their portrayal of Ghandi. So it's bound to be awesome.

We will also decide on watching a regular movie and/or Eva and/or Spirited away. if there's anything you want to throw in the mix, go ahead and bring it.

In other news, I've decided to drop Quantitative Biology. I'm off to meet with that professor in about 45 minutes to tell him so. The meeting was actually for me to walk through the homework that was due today that i didn't understand. You see, this class is an upper division stats class. But this is Dr. Schlupp's first time to teach it, and i think it's the first time for the class ever. So no one was very sure what it was actually going to be. But. what it has turned out to be is a biological stats class for those who have already taken stats. My friend Matt and I were the only ones (i think) that didn't have any prior stat. knowledge. Matt dropped last night. So that makes me the one and only. And like him, I don't feel it neccessary or good that i should be self teaching on this. I can't get this wrong, as it is something I'll be using for a long time.

So i'm dropping. but that means i only have 10 hours. So i'm taking ballroom. But i need to get special permission. So i have to get ahold of the ballroom dancing teachers. That's just about next to impossible I have come to find. They'll be at their studio after 2:00, so hopefully i can catch them after 2:00 but before 2:30 - when i have to go to work.

And hopefully I won't be taking just ballroom. I mean, 10 hours of core classes and 2 hours of fluff class is too easy even when I want to take it easy for a semester. But if i can get ballroom done today, I have at least a bit more time (not much, granted, but it will at least be a far less panicked time frame) to find and petition to get in another class.

So that's about it for today's stress level. I have decided I have a teacher crush on my spanish conversation professor. He is fabulous. (and incredibly flaming.) but he's a lot of fun, and very helpful and relaxed. it feels like this is exactly what spanish conversation should be - working out the kinks of conversation.

And the shocker for the day thus far: I ran into an old sister in my pledge class in the union. now this girl has always been nice to everybody, but she and i just never talked, and she hung out with some girls i didn't actually- uhm - like. she dropped out of the sorority a couple of years ago - it was kind of a 'forced' drop out from the powers that be in alpha chi. Not only did we chat for about 5 minutes on our respective lives, but she hugged me. i was floored.

alright. i'm off to read evolution. another class i'm in love with. sigh. if it just weren't for this damn quantitative biology....
